NIS 655 Queuing Systems with Computer Applications I

Queuing models will be developed and applied to current problems in telecommunication networks and performance analysis of networked computer systems. Topics include elementary queuing theory, birth-death processes, open and closed networks of queues, priority queues, conservation laws, models for time-shared computer systems and computer communication networks.
