Application Review
After all required documents are submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions, accompanied by an application fee of $60, representatives from the relevant academic department will review the materials. Applicants will be evaluated based on several criteria: undergraduate class standing; performance in major field; grade point average; professional experience, where appropriate; and performance on standardized examinations.
Deferring Admission
Newly admitted students may request to defer their acceptance for one semester, after accepting the offer of admission as per their admission letter. The student’s deferral request will be reviewed and, if approved, the student will be notified via email. A new admission letter for the deferred semester will be provided to the student. Students who have not enrolled in the semester approved for deferral must re-apply.
Change of Program
A student who wishes to change to a different program prior to the first day of the semester is treated as a new student applying for admission and must fill out a new application. If admitted, the student's previously completed coursework will be evaluated for transfer into the new program by the academic department. Acceptance of such credits is entirely at the discretion of the department and must be approved by the Graduate Academics & Student Success.
