ACC 702 Practicum in Accounting and Analytics
This course involves an educationally relevant, practical assignment that augments the academic content of the student’s program. Students engage in a project in a company project related to the focus of their academic program. The project is conducted under the supervision of a faculty advisor and an industry mentor. During the semester, the student must submit written progress reports and at the end of the semester, a detailed written report that describes his/her activities and knowledge gained during that semester. During the Fall and Spring semesters, full time graduate students enrolled in this course are allowed to earn only 1 credit for an internship at which they are allowed to work only part time. Students are allowed to earn up to 2 credits for a full time internship only in the summer semesters or if they are in their last semester and registered as a part time student with fewer than 9 credits left to complete their degree. In the latter situation, international students must also must have approved Reduced Course Load request on file with the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office
