IDE 411 Launchpad Senior Experience I: Business Model, Product-Market Fit, and Incorporation Basics

This course is intended for students in the Launchpad program who have either formed a company or are in the process of forming a company and have completed other Launchpad courses. The focus of this course is to help student-led companies establish sales & start preparing for fundraising. Specifically, it helps student founders prepare to present before accelerators, incubators, angel investors and/or pre-seed VCs. Students may use their Launchpad initiative as a senior design project. This course will support this project work by transforming their technical designs into innovations. To understand the challenges of innovation processes, students will develop and present a business pitch and compete at a pitch competition. IDE 411/412 is synchronized with senior design curricula of the different disciplines in SES and is a substitute for the Senior Innovation sequence (IDE 401/IDE 402).
