ACC 535 Accounting Data Analytics and Information Systems

In this course, students will explore the applications of data analytics and the role of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in solving accounting problems. Emphasis will be placed on utilizing data science techniques and emerging technologies to develop the skills necessary for analyzing accounting information. Through hands-on experience and guided exercises, students will gain proficiency in selected AIS-related tools and learn how data analytics is practiced in the real world. Additionally, the course will cover the fundamental technology that underlies the development, implementation, and use of modern AIS.

Undergraduate Students: ACC 200, MIS 110, and has 60 credits completed; Graduate Students: FIN 500, FIN 510, FIN 515, FE 520, or enrolled in the Accounting, Finance, or MBA Program.
