HSS 301 Research Design and Methods

This course is an intensive introduction to research design and methods for the disciplines of the Social Sciences and Science, Technology, and Society. It will prepare students to develop their own research projects with a focus on understanding research design and identifying a research topic, formulating theoretically-motivated questions of inquiry, organizing your literature review, selecting an appropriate research design and methodology. The course is intended for majors in the Social Sciences and Science, Technology, and Society in their junior year and students wishing to conduct independent research.
