HST 360 Humans and the Environment

This seminar takes as its subject the history and sociology of the environment. Through readings and discussions, students will engage themes in environmental history such as the problem with wilderness, environmental labor, visualization, knowledge production, animal studies, and the role of technology in human interactions with the environment. This course serves as a deepdive into topics in environmental history, and is designed for intensive in-class discussion and group work.
