BIO 307 Fundamentals of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics

This course introduces students to basic principle and methods of biostatistics. The course covers the basic methods of descriptive and inferential statistics utilized to statistically analyze and present biological data. Emphasis is placed on actively using the software R to apply these methods to real biological data. The course also introduces students to bioinformatics techniques, with a particular focus on biological sequence (DNA, RNA, protein) analysis.
