Professional and Technical Communications
The online graduate certificate will help students develop writing, revision, and communication skills that will aid them in drafting technical and professional documents in the workplace. Through twelve credit hours of graduate-level coursework, students will become familiar with formatting and design principles that will allow them to produce a variety of technical and professional genres with clarity and concision. Students will also develop a range of presentation techniques, including oral, web-based, and audio-visual presentations. Advanced courses will help students develop skills in crafting presentations, proposals, and writing for online audiences.

COM 550 and 570 may be substituted with any other course with a COM designation that is not already required for this certificate, or with
EM 622 or EM/HSS 570.
